There is a growing demand for dermatological
care, in part because of the increasing public awareness of skin health.
This necessitates even more efficient practice administration and
excellence in residence education. Fortunately, the field of Dermatology
has taken notable advantage of the latest technology including communication
and information sharing innovations.
The Dermatology Education Foundation is a Not For Profit foundation
that provides education software and services for dermatology residents
and practitioners. In keeping with our mission to improve dermatology
through technology, we make our tools available to all users, from
practitioners in the United States to residents in developing countries.
All of our products and services are provided absolutely free of charge.
Since our founding in 1999, we have created a wide array of
teaching and information-sharing tools, including:
Expert reviews of the latest technology and software that facilitates
resident training and running a practice.
An online 27 journal database, anatomy reference, and high-yield
study notes created by residents.
A Learning Center with in-depth lectures and reviews on Evidence-Based
Medicine and Skin Oncology.
Various hand-held computer programs such as DermLand, the information
sharing network for residents, OPIS, the procedure-logging program,
and DermSurgeryLand, a concise reference of surgical procedures.
Helpful links to other dermatology-related sites, and year’s
worth of dermatology events.
We are constantly improving and expanding our software and product
line, and are finding ways to support a larger user base. To support
our innovations we provide other services to the private sector, such
as website development and meeting/conference administration. We also
rely on the support of donors who are enthusiastic about improving
education and practice administration in dermatology.
As a nonprofit foundation dedicated to dermatology, we look to you
for support. Below is a form for you if you wish to donate.
